Tony and Gary Corso are both Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapists. Tony and Gary have extensive experience in physical therapy and athletic training of professional, college, high school and younger athletes. In addition, they work with children who belong to local soccer clubs and Little League teams.


PHYSICAL THERAPY

 

Gary Corso MS, PT, OCS

Gary CorsoGary Corso, MS, PT, OCS is co-owner with his brother Tony, of the 3 Corso physical therapy sites.  Gary has been practicing Physical Therapy for 25 years.

Gary graduated from Long Island University (L.I.U.) – C.W. Post College in Brookville with an undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education in 1978.   He successfully completed his Masters of Science Degree in Special Education in 1981 while becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1979.

Gary went on to graduate from the C.U.N.Y. at Hunter College Physical Therapy program with a Certificate in Physical Therapy in 1985.  He became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 1996.

Gary has taught Physical Therapy at Touro College School of Health Sciences Physical Therapy program from 1988 to 1998.  He has authored a journal article titled Impingement Relief Test: An Adjunctive Procedure to Traditional Assessment of Shoulder Impingement Syndrome published in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in November 1995.

Gary has taken extensive continuing education course work including, Advanced Treatment of the Upper Extremity, Advanced Treatment of the Lower Extremity, Craniosacral Manipulative Techniques and Specific Exercises as a Complement to Manual Therapy Treatment.

 



Tony Corso MS, PT

Tony CorsoTony Corso, MS, PT is co-owner with his brother Gary, of the 3 Corso physical therapy sites. Tony has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 20 years.

Tony graduated from Long Island University (L.I.U.) – C.W. Post College in Brookville with an undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education in 1976.   He successfully completed his Masters of Science Degree in Special Education in1978 after becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1975.

Tony went on to graduate from the L.I.U. – Brooklyn Physical Therapy program with a dual diploma, a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, in 1987.  He has also taught Physical Therapy at Touro College School of Health Sciences Physical Therapy program from 1989 to 1994.

Tony has extensive experience working with pediatric patients.  He worked as a consultant for Maryhaven Center of Hope in Port Jefferson from 1991 to 1997.  He was responsible for evaluating, treating and providing recommendations for services for the population of emotionally and physically disabled children.

Tony has taken advanced continuing education courses such as, Advanced Treatment of the Lower Extremity, McConnell Patellofemoral Treatment Plan, and Lumbo-Pelvic Integration. He specializes in treatment of infants and children with various physical conditions. He also has experience with Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ), sports related injuries and Vertigo.

Tony has coached and trained many athletes for soccer, track and field, and gymnastics. He has coached, trained and competed in many triathlons including the Ironman.


Leonard Framson PT, MFS, CSCI, YFT

Leonard M. Framson, PT, MFS, CSCI, YFT is an orthopedic and sports physical therapist with a Master of Fitness Science, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor, and a Certified Youth Fitness Trainer.  Lenny graduated from Boston University Sargent College of Allied Health Professions in 1983. In addition, he is a registered physical therapist with a certification as a Master of Fitness Science and holds Healthcare Provider Certification through the American Heart Association.

Lenny provides personal training, health fitness assessments and performance enhancement training for youth athletes, professional athletes, and Olympic athletes. He has a strong background in athletic and sports rehabilitation training, strength and conditioning, personal training, and sports nutrition.

In 1984, he was a physical therapist at the Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games and is a member of the Olympic Alumni Association. For the 1993 World Maccabiah Games in Israel, he was selected as the physical therapist/sports trainer for the United States Track and Field Team. He participated again in1997 with additional responsibilities. His extensive experience treating athletes, from weekend warriors, to Olympians and professionals, includes a large variety of sports. He has been the therapist providing rehabilitation for master level swimmers and athletes for many years.

In March 2004, he was spotlighted as the ISSA (International Sports Science Association) Pro-trainer of The Month. He has published articles regarding proper hydration to prevent heat-related problems and proper procedures to follow. He has published articles on proper running mechanics.


 

MASSAGE THERAPY

 

Melissa Lemanski, LMT

Melissa Lemanski, LMT is a licensed massage therapist with an associates degree from the New York College of Health Professions.  She has been a Massage Therapist since January 2009.  Financial arrangements are currently fee for service with insurance reimbursement being sought on a case by case basis.  All appointments can be made separate from physical therapy treatment sessions by calling Melissa directly at (631) 848-0533.
